Ahem: when I worked in woollen mills, you clocked in.
Is this going to be so difficult for hon members in this electronc age?Solution: foursquare! Who will be the mayor of the Beehive?

Nah, it doesn't have the same versatility as "There is no [whatever], only Zuul"
Are you the Keymaster?
Also, @DavidRitchie: I love that quote with all my heart. I LOLed at the time, and I'm LOLing now.

Man, Saturday night was brutal - for both the aggressiveness in the jams and the emotionally draining, heart-wrenching guttingness of losing (I know, I'm just a spectator, but still...).
Part of the guttingness was that I wanted to hate PCR for being bad at SOMEthing, but I couldn't - they were good skaters with good tactics (and good uniforms). Grrr.
But for RCRD, Braxton & Punk Puntha were standouts in terms of improvement over the course of the RCRD matches. Bikkies looked impossible to get past. Perky & M.E.O.W were putting in some solid hits.
The rules around keeping the pack together are very interesting (and formed a big part of PCR's tactics) - I heard from Justicier that they've changed a lot recently, and I'll be interested to see how the rematch goes once they've been bedded in.

I think I heard the commentators say Polota-Nau had 'woken up with a sore achilles', and had accordingly been replaced. Why they kept their jersey numbers was not explained fully (or, indeed, at all).

To all who are keen to give it a go - seriously, just find some skates to borrow, hire or buy, and do it - it's awesome fun.
Ferg's on Queens Wharf hire out (inline) skates to use along the waterfront, and Kilbirnie Rec Centre has skate hire (inline AND rollerskate) and a nice flat indoor surface to practice on.
Kilbirnie Rec Centre is run by the WCC and runs adult learn-to-skate classes on Monday nights - give them a call to sign up (04 387 1491).
Full disclosure - I run the skate classes - and I'd love to see you there!
