Musicwise: 'High Violet' by The National. Closely followed by Modern Fables. Julia Deans sings pretty.
TV-Wise: 'Treme'. Quite comfortably. I'd also wager this was the year that most people started getting around to watching 'The Wire'?
Movie-Wise: Four Lions. Social Network. Animal Kingdom was similarly choice. -
I googled 'twatcock'. Apparently it has a sexual context also attached to it.

We're due soonish for a first reveal of this summer's lineup.
Sources say Limp Bizkit will be playing. I'm not convinced that they've been away long enough to be a novelty act.

Gawd.
I see your 'Gawd' and raise you a 'Yeesh'.
There appears to be very little distinction between Laws the talkback host and Laws the mayor...
At least in Auckland we have a nice mayor.

I lolled @ the Simon Pound piece. Fantastic.
It's also fantastic traveling down country and watching the political hoardings change - as soon as I left Auckland, it was like Labour and the Greens stopped existing.
I imagine tourists visiting the country for the first time and traveling that same route could leave with the distinct impression that the Act party were a bit of a big deal.

And here's something else that would piss me off, if it wasn't so sad. Obama actually, like a grown-up, was willing to say "well, John's right there" or "John has a point, but..." and that's treated like some horrible weakness?
Have a look at the new McCain ad based around just that point.

Heh. Palin.
