I love your first quote, so true. Last year I was lucky enough to go to Shanghai for three days of intense tourism experience and my senses were so overwhelmed, not only due to the visual excitement but also to the culture shock and language difficulties, the time-lag and lack of sleep. Such a rich experience, I would have lost much of it if I hadn't taken a LOT of photos and scribbles in my journal.
