I feel like I get beaten to the punch every year. So, sorry about this in advance, but here are all my nominations together.

From Trump: Covfefe.
From the UK: Corbynite.
From Australia: Plebiscite.
From the America’s Cup: Foiling.
From Hollywood: Weinstein.
From Hager: Naik, and Khak Khuday Dad.

On a different vein, how about "2016". I think this year has had such an impact it deserves consideration as word of itself.

Closer to home, I think "Keyless" will come of age next year. For this year, perhaps the local word/phrase of the year is "housing crises".

In the same vein, "truthiness" and "fake news" have had time in the sun this year.

He may have won too many accolades already, but surely it is hard to go past "Trump" as word of the year, or perhaps "Trumpocalypse".
