"Joubert missed that one too -- and, to be fair, a similar professional foul by Sivivatu in the first half. Jeez."
Bobby Dwyer has stepped in about this , "Some of what went on was farcical," he said. "But if referees don't referee what is in front of them and what is in the law book, you end up with this sort of chaos. I talked to some international referees not that long ago and asked them about a point, and their reply astonished me. They told me: 'Oh, we don't referee that, or we don't do it like that'.
The effing reffing is a joke in world rugby and has been for a long time. I don't know how sports fans can watch modern rugby without tearing their hair out. Quite a number of senior coaches have called for a significant change in the way the games is ruled on yet nothing changes. I remember a prominent lions coach stating he didn't even know all the rules. If this was international football their would be wars by now over some of the bizarre decisions.

"I've no first hand knowledge of how Labor in NSW or Australia is run, but the limited second hand knowledge I do have suggests that this article is pretty accurate. Scarey."
They really need some new parties over there, so do we.

"so you did some kind of marine biology degree then?"
It could well of been.

"i've a sneaking suspicion that educational levels and gender are well skewed over at kiwiblog, and *slightly* more even here."
I can't remember going to university but they sent me a degree one day so i must have , it's nice with big writing and a seal kind of thing on it .

"Was it using land-lines, or did it include cell-phones owners? This is emerging as a real constraint on research accuracy."
polling?

"What an excellent piece of writing (from the Scoop item RB linked to)! Is Campbell's departure why the Listener is going down hill (as I'm told but haven't verified)?"
The story should get bigger. Let's talk about the long and very recent history of secret Trust Funds now we've opened up Winiies.. Let's find out who traditionally who backs who? It would be very educating and would be great for our democracy.
It should be noted that owen glenn, bob jones and the fishing family
seem to have survived the public outing. -
"Well barring disaster, I think the election is already over. It'll get closer, but not close."
I think peter dunne will say nice things to the worm again and become prime minister. It's not about you Kyle it's all about the worm.

"Unless Labour are thinking about 2011, I struggle to see how they're not just handing seats to National on a plate."
It's still a 5% ballgame. Labour can and have won elections on 40% of the vote.
It's tight and they're are polling mysteries in Auckland.
Just how much is that South Auckland electorate being polled? They had an amazing turn out for Labour last election, there's a lot of party votes in that region and when they block vote it's pretty powerful. It argueably won labour the election in 2005. -
"And Jeremy, you seem to be making wild assumptions that kiwiblog fringe = kiwiblog associates = national members = craig. You can do better, I'm sure, but free speech means you can expect sloppy thinking to be challenged. Enjoy."
Well that's a pretty sloppy summation of my posts there bud...i like it though..wild...sounds cool.
however "kiwiblog associates = national members = craig" is a fact confirmed by the big man himself and a mere association is nothing to be ashamed of so even if i had made such a "wild (?)" association who cares, what's the problem?

"Jeremy: I've not been a boy for a very long time, and if you want to engage in snide bitchery don't expect a bunch of flowers and a thank you note. That is all."
Everyones a boy to me except girls, even Jesus christ.
Craig I get nothing out of these exchanges so once again I want to apologise for upsetting you. It's not my intention.
I am actually trying to moderate my posts on any subject you may be involved in even though it doesn't feel like the free speech I thought these threads may provide.
have a good day mate.
