Anyone one see this?
How to run a street demonstration and keep the roving hoards under control.
Got it off aldaily.com

Sacha, you missed the other clanger in Emmas bit about KR
earthquakes were most likely to happen at the full moon, and the new moon, and two weeks either side.
Well that doesn't leave too many days left in the lunar month does it. It beggers belief that he has the gall to make such "predictions" and it beggers even more that people 1. listen to him and 2. pay for it.

The graph is at the top of the page labeled "Daily Energy Release chart". This is the second link above.
The Ring of Dire.
No crater man is he. -
Which part of "Ken Ring is in lala land" is unclear.
The earthquake movie site has a graph of the numbers of earthquakes and the energy of the quakes since last September. Out of interest Paul Nicholls has added an extra bit of info for the Lunar Tics.
He has overlain the phases of the moon on the graph (peaks are full moon). I think I could offer a jug of beer if anyone can convince me that there is any correlation with the quakes.

See. I miss the point everytime. Beer o'clock.

But I have to say, with Jim being a CTV bloke from way back. I did wonder.......

Now remember I am not alI poetic. But.
I think he is saying that the world was not made for us but rather we were made for the world. We have to put up with it, it don't have to put up with us. As Scott A says: Shit happens. You can't rant against the world because of the shit and expect it to hear you. It's deaf. It truly truly doesn't even care that you exist. Try and just accept that it is part of life and .....be kind.
And we cry.
But life is beautiful.

I can't remember if this was mentioned last September but it might be useful to re issue.
The sterilising of water using solar radiation and PET bottles. It is so simple it works. I did a bit of a search around this subject a year or so ago and found some good papers on it. It does seem that there has been a fair bit of work to check it out.
The key is to use PET bottles as UV is transmitted through it. I recall reading somewhere that NZ - and Canterbury - has an excess of sun and UV. This is good.
This article does not mention it but it needs to also get hot. About 60deg comes to mind. That is too hot to handle. So if it reaches that point and it has been there for the requisite time then it should be good to go. Wrapping some dark paper around the bottom half and laying on a towell will help insulate and heat it quicker by minimising heat loss and maximising UV.

And there is nothing like helping people to do their own laces up. Someone pointed out to me - and I realised I too hadn't seen it - that there have been no Adult Education classes advertised for Upper Hutt Colleges this year.
It really must have been floss for the dross.

Hard News: Again: Is everyone okay?, in reply to
Thanks for the thought. But I suspect I need to be high, deeply religious or working through my friendly spiritulist to get anything out of it. Nice on key gibberish as far as I could (not) tell but. I told y'all I don't do poetry!! :-)
