Music: The Suburbs by the Arcade Fire. So great! And the videos are like woah!
TV: Community. Boardwalk Empire was pretty, but not nearly as awesome.Anything else? Umm, I don't go to the movies anymore. Or gigs, really. The Wellingtonista Awards were fun, but I would say that.

if the Wgtn peeps are anything like the Auckland peeps
We're nothing like Aucklanders, death first!

How many hipsters does it take to change a lightbulb?
Oh, this joke sounds so much better on vinyl, but make sure you get the German pressing of it.

On the other hand, I’ve encountered quite a number of people who roll their eyes, shake their heads, and respond to the TAWAs using the “h” word. Yes, “hipsters”. There I said it.
We can't be real hipsters though, because we don't believe that being called a hipster is the worst thing in the world.

Hell, we don't even need the Wellingtonista anymore, we can just use the comments thread here. Hey everyone, avoid Pirie Street and the buses that run through the tunnel today cos they're digging it all up.

Hadyn, you're too modest, I can't believe you didn't mention the famous people who came to our awards...

Drinking at the TAWAs? That's so against everything we stand for...

Sorry, that's "I'll be wearing Megan's pretty dress with the requisite amount of cleavage on show"

As well as voting, we hope you'll all come and party with us on the night! It's only $5 on the door, from 6.30pm at Mighty Mighty on December 3. I'll be wearing a pretty dress, as usual, and we have a metric buttload of spot prizes for you to win AND the Amazing Traveling Photobooth will be there AND we've got a DJ afterwards AND then there's a whole bunch of bands Mighty have arranged as well. You're especially encouraged to buy us drinks and/or give us pashes.

I can see all my old comments now! This makes me want to get drunk and comment randomly all over the place and forget where I put things as usual - and then be able to see what I did in the morning. Hurrah!
