Off Topic - but do you have any way of persuading your commercial overlords to remove that National Party ad of Bill English in blue as the public face of TV7 from your masthead. Its most irritating.
And no, not to be replaced with Helen, Rod or Russel (one l)
Could put up with Goff-who? in bland, I suppose -
Well, if Messrs Key and Goff can celebrate the Chinese National Day in front of a gigantic profile of Mao, I don't see any reason for Anke to feel guilty....

No one willing to go OT and mention Sue Bradford's resignation and implications for the removal of the steel in the backbone of the Opposition?

Would London-dwellers find it worth going for the (free?) lunch?
Are you allowed to throw bread rolls, as, one hears, is a practice of the class frequenting Clubland? -
As others may have wondered - how many 2nd hand couches are there in Dunedin?
Is it worthwhile for some entrepreneur to set up a couches-for-burning business in Dunedin? Or to manufacture especially made Inflammable Couches? -

Chorus.-O Whistle, an' I'll come to ye, my lad,
O whistle, an' I'll come to ye, my lad,
Tho' father an' mother an' a' should gae mad,
O whistle, an' I'll come to ye, my lad.But warily tent when ye come to court me,
And come nae unless the back-yett be a-jee;
Syne up the back-stile, and let naebody see,
And come as ye were na comin' to me,
And come as ye were na comin' to me.
O whistle an' I'll come, &c.At kirk, or at market, whene'er ye meet me,
Gang by me as tho' that ye car'd na a flie;
But steal me a blink o' your bonie black e'e,
Yet look as ye were na lookin' to me,
Yet look as ye were na lookin' to me.
O whistle an' I'll come, &c.Aye vow and protest that ye care na for me,
And whiles ye may lightly my beauty a-wee;
But court na anither, tho' jokin' ye be,
For fear that she wile your fancy frae me,
For fear that she wile your fancy frae me.
O whistle an' I'll come, &c. -
Am waiting for James Bremer to come in and tell you all off...

"And re the Values Party. As a Library School exercise in 1974 I compiled an annotated bibliography. There wasn't much material available by 1974 as the Party was only two years old, and it was mostly newspaper cuttings from then leader Tony Brunt's personal collection. But I must check it sometime in the Turnbull Library and see if that leaflet was included"

Why all the invective against Ablett-Kerr? Her job is to give the most effective legal defence that she can for her client. As Dr Sam Johnson pointed out somewhere, it is not the defence lawyer's brief, but that of the judge and jury to judge the guilt or otherwise of the client.
