Is there any right of recourse when we are mis-quoted?
Heaps. Usually media organisations will ring the Ministry to check figures and facts. If they don't a retraction or correction can be written. Beyond that, it could become a legal ...um...thing (Graeme, help!).
I run on this principle: make it very VERY simple to read. The problem, I feel, tends to be caveats and definitions. Nearly all data comes with them and they aren't the easiest things to make palatable.

Did Simon Doull really hand a bottle of champagne to Jesse Ryder last night?
I'm sure it must've been a modified bong.

Nice Tom.
I don't disagree with anything you've said except I want to ask why rugby wouldn't just be considered a running game like League? And also, where do place basketball?

Also the terms have changed so kids will be on holiday during the cup (to help with traffic issues)

See: Charlotte Hornets, mid '90s
Getting a massive nostalgia headrush now - everyone seemed to have something Hornets branded back in intermediate.
Totally true. Despite most not knowing where Charlotte was. I was a Suns fan back then

When I wonder this, someone usually points out to me the large pewter pentacle I wear all the time...
"Are you Jewish, then?"
Do they miscount the points?
And I ate my last apple for lunch but now I'm dying to cut one in half

It can be hard to find a hat that isn't shit. I'm not surprised people wear things that they don't actually endorse.
In part I agree. What if your favourite band or sports team just has shit apparel?
I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of people liked the clothes first and then the team/band
