Quite a copout and by linking to his site this will attract more people to his blog. If it was a "from the right" column i'd be fine with that

Don't worry we have "Well-known political commentator David Farrar" to keep them honest http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=10725359

Hard News: A welcome return - and pirates!, in reply to
The Polaroid's compelling feature is the way you can mess with your pics while they're curing. You can't do that with pixels! Well, you can, but it's not as much tactile fun.
True. I guess their main selling point that you got the picture almost straight away, but with the digital takeover it, it made them fairly clunky and redundant.
Outkast seemed quite fond though

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Maori TV is showing CTV during the day now, nice touch.
And Jose Barbosa looks at the return of the Polaroid camera.
Directly related to the overpopulation of hipsters who weren't around to realise why they became unpopular in the first place ;)

I was fourteen in 2001
I was 19, second year at uni, studying international relations of all things, so it was certainly an interesting time (albeit not in a good way). I do remember the week or so after a lot of friends being fairly terrified that world war three was going to kick off.
What it did enable was 7 years of Bush et al scare mongering, state sanctioned tourture, two wars, countless soldiers and civilians dead. Has anyone really won? I doubt it

I think Danyl has nailed it here http://dimpost.wordpress.com/2011/04/28/why-brash-is-a-racist/

Will be interesting to see how Key handles this to avoid bleeding votes to ACT without increasing total support for the centre-right. I still think Brash has low-value electability. His legendary “not mainstream NZers” pissed a lot of people off across the spectrum.
I wouldn't be too sure, Brash did come within a breath of winning. I had family members who loved him, thought he was a straight up honest guy. And they aren't your run of the mill right wing looney. Which scares me. He could tap the racist vote very easily.

Somehow, I have only just started listening to Husker Du after really getting into the Replacements last year. Two incredible bands. Also reading "This band could be your life" at the moment, brilliant read.
