Playdough's Republic...
My impression was of an open botanical gardens type place and of a famous philosopher speaking to the crowd (wearing drapey toga-ish clothes which were not at all out of place).
aaah! - Atlantis is rising again...
or is it Mu or Rlyeh?...bubbling up through the consciousness
of the world's thinkers and dreamers...I wonder if the sea floor rose off Vanuatu?
Meanwhile things are speeding up under Alaska.
...and off in the Oort Cloud, something stirs...
Cue FX: [Music: Fade in Jaws theme...]

exciting photonictopics...
I like that one. A lot.
see, now there's a conversation starter...
heading back to Southerly now...

testing... one... too...
though I didn't find many that I felt strongly
one way or the other about = 26
which coincidentally is my birthdate
and just under half my age
(as an Aquarian - and Monkey)...so I'll just make another cuppa tea
sit down and have a Boil Idyll... -
kickin' down the cobber's tones...*
does "Here we come / Walking down the street"
mean nothing to you people?!...er, a holiday in Queensland?
Simian songsters aside...
Speaking of ad swipes and tropes...
I wonder if the same ad agency did the
State Insurance and the Wellington promo ads
where they both use giant present boxes?or did they all just see the same idea
overseas somewhere...*into the feelin' groovy...
take the love-in by the spoonful -

FREETrillion is Jody Lloyd, one of New Zealand’s only true natural-accent rappers. His aim is to raise awareness and expose corporate and government corruption.
(you can find most of them on YouTube if you are geographically challenged for this event...

patter recognition... or casting aspersions
If it's just a roomful of actors, I'm your guy.
an aside - triggered by Russell's statement above:
Did any one else note the irony that the actor (Erik Thomson) playing Derek Turner in last night's The Million Dollar Con Man also played Chch property developer David Henderson in We're here to help .

treasons to be cheerful...
Hard to believe this man – who has found the past few weeks stressful – wanted to be Minister of Foreign Affairs. Did he think it would just be gadding about in business class, nice dinners with important people and decent wine?
the thing that gets me, and hasn't been elaborated on or fully revealed (as far as I can find) is - what was an MP / Cabinet member doing taking a trip paid for by a foreign power (China): a) when he was supposed to be resting at home; and b) apparently without telling fellow Caucus members or the head of his Party...
it just looks like a highly compromising position to be in, to me... will we learn more? -
de-misty-fying... waiting for the drop-let!
This typo is making me think of gloriously backwards Steampunk hats and doubled-up chains and "yo yo yo, I say, good sir!" type talking.
You may have just invented a genre. Steampunk Rap.
MC Steam Hammer, anyone?
this could well be an idea with traction...

To the good Mums of the world - all joy
Yeah verily!
My mum, at 85, has just turned over her first grand selling off stuff on TradeMe...
not as draughty as the markets these days!
- she started bric-a-bracing back at Mollett Street Market and Atlantis Market in the Sq (Chch), surviving Androidss (who also had a stall there) still ask after her... -
Surely the US has been trying for a long, long time to prevent groups like the Taliban getting weapons?
Since the Americans stopped providing them - and if history is repeating, one would imagine Russia and China would be happily, covertly supplying those... Pakistan seems pretty porous in that area too...
so it's just business as usual for the armourers of the world!
