How many protestors are there in Denver right now? Plenty. Try protesting outside the next Chinese Communist Party's People's Congress in Beijing and see how it goes for you.
Then again, try not being a US citizen living in the comfort of your own country, and we may feel free to torture you and/or drop bombs on your house.
I'd personally say it's about 50-50 at the moment.

Nailing him for something someone else said? Why?
Nailing him for calling Obama elitist and not remembering how many houses he owns. Seems fair game to me. And at anyrate Romney is a surrogate, so what he says is fair game too.
How the ivy-league educated oil baron Dubya managed to market himself as a brush clearing rancher will remain one of the shining achievement of the electoral bullshit machine, though, and likely to be unsurpassed.

Obama has talked 'new' and 'change' and has selected 'old' and 'stale' as his side-kick.
Dude, you're the one who said that this thing will be won by leadership and experience.

Exactly what insight of McCain's helped earn all those properties was unclear, unless it was his ability to recognize a powerful, wealthy Arizona family when he saw one.
I'm all for nailing McCain on this, although it's a bit rich coming from the party that nominated the husband of Teresa Heinz last time around.

That sounds uncannily familiar, locally speaking.
Locally speaking, as of this morning and Glenn's testimony Peters is a goner. Does it mean we get to stage Decision 08 before the yanks?

McCain has flaws in his econoimc knowledage
For instance, he's lost count how many houses he owns.
The election will come down to Leadership
It's never a bad time to quote George Carlin: "Leadership camp... Isn't that were the Nazi went?"

Didn't we hear this last time with Kerry? And wasn't there in fact at least a modest surge in voter registration and turnout in 04?
We don't know what young people, African Americans and Latinos will do, but we know that Republican voter registration is down across the country, and Democratic voter registration is up by significant numbers. How the pollster account for any of this is not clear. Many still go for likely voter, and the definition of likely voter is somebody who always votes - I'm betting it will be different this time simply because it was different in the primaries (and pollsters took a bath, esp. in underestimating Obama's vote); but how they weigh the voter registration is key. When they ask registered voters, apparently they still do so according to the percentages from the last election.
There's another thing: in the polls in which all candidates are included, esp. Obama already trounces McCain. Nader doesn't have nearly the same effect on Obama as Barr has on McCain.

I suffer from restlesslegs syndrome, which is a novelty type of affliction that should be reserved for circus clowns and the like. I've half learned to manage it over the years - it involves a lot of gymnastics in bed, and not the fun kind - but it's still a prick of a thing to be at the mercy of. Sometimes nothing works and by the time four o'clock rolls around I feel like I've placed a respectable third in a Pyrenees stage of the Tour de France.
When I was a toddler I used to be able to sleep through it, by rocking backwards and forwards. At home my cot had wheels, so I woke up each time in a different corner of the room, but when we were holidaying in our caravan there was nothing to absorb the kinetic energy and so the whole structure rocked portentously, I am told. When I had my afternoon nap mum made a big show of sitting by the open door so that the people in the campsite wouldn't think that some sort of sordid bacchanalia where going on within.

Giovanni my friend, I hope you haven't commited the ultimate hex.
See, I'm Italian and we have a proven remedy for that, so I can assure you that whilst writing that I had a hand firmly planted on my... Which accounts for the slow typing.
