can anyone tell me why I can't legally marry my father-in-law?
I started writing a generic Canterbury inbreeding joke but it felt too mean.
But is that actually a law? Aren't there also a bunch of laws about who a window cannot marry?

Without stats I'm gonna have to say your pants are on fire. The sports fan-to-arts supporter ratio in this heathen backwater is more likely to be 50-1*.
Percentage-wise I think I'm right though. The munter to non-munter ratio will be about the same at any event. The jerks who talk loudly over the band, the idiot drivers on the motorway etc. It's lower than you think but they are so annoying it seems like there's more of them.
Heh, so subtle we did it in the fog so you couldn't even SEE it happen.
I'm a Chiefs fan so I don't care about that game (it was on during the 48 Hours anyway)

Quote from waaaay back on page 3
Isabel? Where are you?
She has this theory that you should be able to have the big party, the fancy dress, and get all the presents, but not actually get married. A sort of Wedding-less Reception.
We've thought that one out. We'd call it Holy Nottrimony or be really sneaky and tell everyone we're getting <airquotes>married</airquotes>

That, and the undeniable presence of munters.
I posit that at any event there are munters.
For every drunk homophobic jerkwad at a rugby match, there is a pretentious cockface at an art gallery.

I'm sort of leaning towards the Chiefs because we've beaten the Hurricanes in the final before.
You subtle bugger

As a non-married but happily-coupled straight man (for 12 years) the only thing that annoys me is that if we were to get married, we would get a truckload of pressies from friends and relatives.
So while I keep my "marriage = meh" attitude I don't get any serving platters or salad tongs or money towards overseas trips. Total gip.

Yeah but it's kinda surprising how many of those who like sport have flawed characters. Is there a reason?
I think you're looking for causation when I'm not sure there is even correlation. I don't think folks who like sports are more likely to be (let's call them) dicks than, say, people who own cars. Or people who prefer macs to pcs, etc.

Sadly cheering
Were you feeling sad, or did you miss a comma?
Both. "yay. go crusaders. woo."

oh.
I'm much more of a whisky, bourbon and rum kind of person. But for some reason I really want to like gin.
