Locating the G-spot!
Mate, I think you'll find that, on the whole, women are far better at this than men are.

My partner put a concrete drill through his upper arm. How manly is that?
Sounds more like a magic trick to me.

it is the avoidance of skid-able situations that is the skill it pays to have
A pity that concise prose is not on the list. Oh well, one less item for me to fail.

If anyone has any advances on: "take foot off accelerator, point wheel in direction you'd ideally be going, resist urge to slam on brakes really hard, hope for the best" ... well, I'm all ears.
When I was a little younger, I had the good fortune to roll a car and walk away unhurt (A fairly impressive feat on the backroads of the Coromandel). Since then, I have come to realise that maneuvering a car out of a skid is not manly skill - it is the avoidance of skid-able situations that is the skill it pays to have.

Phil, thanks for your enlightening replies. Just to clarify, does this mean that Melissa Lee is outside of government?
My understanding of that is, yes. Standing orders also state that the House cannot sit without a Minister present. Melissa Lee belongs to the party that governs, but she is not in Government.

In other news, the All Blacks side was named. Messam is at 8, and to be honest unless he has a shocker I don't see anyone else in the squad that will take the spot from him. Kaino was poor in the position and played his best at 6, Read would be there already if they thought he was a better option, and Thompson will be at 6/7.
Why they picked a team with four specialist blindsides, I don't know.

I agree that having the students out of town would be an issue - but to be fair they were polling ratepayers (as were the council's surveys) and few ratepayers are also students and those who are, well, live here and don't go back home for the holidays.
Ahem. I'm a tenant. I don't pay rates - although I'd be surprised if my landlord did not factor them into my rent. I do get a vote in local-body elections. Does this mean that I shouldn't have a say in how rates are spent by the council? Are we living in a feudal society where only the landed gentry get an opinion in these matters?

I hate to be a pedant but ... the plural of referendum is referendums.
Actually, I believe both referendums and referenda are acceptable.

When did Jerry ever play for a club in Wellington that wasn't Norths?! It seems a bit sacreligious for the man who'd show up for Norths the day after playing for Wellington. But the socks do confuse me.

Oh FFS.
That was a mangle of editing. Read as:
I thought it was common knowledge that the Barbarians wear their club socks?
