  • Hard News: "Rubbish" is putting it politely,

First Presidential debate: Triangle TV, 10:30pm Sunday

Sky had it 5pm this afternoon via their Fox News network.

Sky had it live on CNN at 1.30 or thereabouts.

  • Busytown: Sorry About That, Chief,

I'm advising all buyers to lower their expectations before reading.

Before reading but after buying, right?

$15 million - sea views, situated in a lively neighbourhood.

Wouldn't have remained lively for long, surely.

  • Field Theory: Sports and: fashion,

I love ice hockey mask designs. I found a database a while ago and spent ages browsing

    You'll love Darth Gerber then.

    is like mana from heaven

I want to know if this is intentional and if so can I please use it?

Following some Ice Hockey forums on and off I'm always amazed at the level of interest about sports equipment, which often escalates into full-scale flame wars. Whole articles these days about Ottawa's netminder's new black and silver mask with the Darth Vader design.

That's just attacking the medium. I wanted to scream at America: polling, voters etc.

No, I was attacking the medium for a reason, those polls were reported yesterday by Kos. Besides, Zogby (motto: 'making goose entrails seem reliable by comparison since 1988') should ring alarm bells among journalists worldwide.

SUSA has now done two rounds on the issue and found twice that American voters think that's a stupid idea.

Thank you for pointing that out, I wanted to scream at the radio.

but I was pleased to read a study of crime statistics written by Gabrielle Maxwell this week. page 24. In spite of those loud voices eg Sensible Sentencing Trust(??) it seems that crime is reducing, and not "spiralling out of control" as Mr Key says.

How about putting that on the cover, then? I'm no journalist, but it would seem to me to be slightly more topical than figuring out what Hitler was on. (Plus, his favourite film was King Kong, so maybe they could have done an alarmist story about that when PJ did the remake).

My partner and I have decided to buy the magazine from now on on the basis of what's on the cover. I think that is pretty much a guaranteed saving of $3.8 per week.

I get the impression that Mary Jane didnt didnt tell the Professor that it was a private scholarship and not one funded by the government

Mary Jane? A dangeorus gateway journalist, then, surely.
