video killed the rodeo tsar...
Key and his people paying a PR firm $10,000 (of taxpayers’ money) to get on the US Letterman show in 2009
Another PR coup orchestrated by Hill & Knowlton, well known for spinning such toxic winners as BCCI, the Tobacco Industry and the Govt of Kuwait (remember the alleged babies ripped from incubators in Iraq War Round 1) - helping Key look like a trained buffoon would've been money for jam - albeit chump change to H&K.

Shod by both sides...
And I find them jarring and distracting. I’m not normally wedded to tradition but the shoe thing annoys me.
Me too, I also hate those video billboards on the sidelines, I'd imagine it must be distracting for players as well, having all that movement going on in their peripheral vision - I'd like a dollar for every time I've momentarily thought there was a bull (or a truck) loose on the field!

Now that this post-Sumerian clay-based ’font’ exists
would it be possible to make it available as a font to buy
which might then give Blair some small extra return on
what looks like a lot of creative work…
and I’m sure it would be of interest to a lot of type lovers
worldwide – a font created by an earthquake – I’d love to
see it mentioned on boing boing and in wired and other places…
I mean how many fonts have come out of Chchch?
This would put Mr Parkes up there with that florid font from Strategy for the Chchch Art Gallery* and maybe Max Hailstone – but he was from the UK and mostly taught about type at Ilam. oh and Paul Russell and maybe a few others, but not many…
Any way I’m all for any initiatives that give Blair more of a profile
- he is a very multi-talented creator.*oh, hang on that was by UK based designer Jeremy Tankard – don’t think he’s a kiwi…
