Up Front: One, in reply to
Enter the Turdis...
The reflection of the portaloo in the window is a nice touch.
I am surprised no one has come up with a time travelling portaloo, it would be a great disguise for future disaster tourists heading back to view the city in the aftermath and before Bob Parker became ruler of the Earth (but that's another story/dimension)...
Every time I pass those mostly blue portaloos I always hear this in my head...
and yes, I agree, great photo! -

unburdened by proof...
Occam's razor and all that.
I don't know that the case has been litigated fully in the first place, but that aside my main interest is in the physics of the affair, and I expected better from the home of the Forensic Investigation extravaganza, it was never treated as a crime scene. WTC 7 has never been explained as far as I can see, why would the penthouse fall in to the building and all the supports - building wide - give way simultaneously, and after only a few hours of burning of one corner of a steel framed building - it collapsed at freefall speed into its own footprint, I couldn't believe it on the day and still don't. All I want is someone to explain how, credibly. Whether that be someone from Al Qaeda's engineering division or elsewhere I don't mind...

Sounds like the council are treating public safety on the waterfront as a Gordian Knot, you need some Smart Alex to cut through the convoluted red tape up there... -
BAT out of Hell…
British American Tobacco are regular winners or finalists in CAFCA’s annual Roger Awards.
If corporations like this want the rights of individuals how can we find out how much tax (and how much Excise money) BAT has paid the NZ Government over the years?
And also how much they have paid to political parties and lobbyists.
(and to sports and other sponsorships)
And do all their staff smoke? is it a requirement? -

People I know are better qualified to comment on closing the window of doubt and the possibility of proving a negative.
I'm a little thick today, you're gonna have to explain that to me...

I'd be interested to get an appropriately qualified engineer's perspective on it.
I think we may be on the same page - try these folk
My point in posting the video is that it is being left to concerned individuals to do the research, tests and experiments that NIST and other Governmental agencies should have done.
And before anyone goes all Kim Hill on my sorry ass, the Engineers for Truth espouse no particular blame to any individual or group, they just want it to be properly, and openly investigated by appropriately qualified engineers.
Sounds fair and reasonable to me. -

The Saigon.
That's the one ! I'm guessing it was never renamed
to The Ho Chi Minh City, though...

“ministerial interference”
in an election year would that be termed 'slow running'?
I can't help but wonder just how many drunks are going to end up in the drink all around that area, and just how damned hard it would be to get out of the water if you fell in.
What, no life preservers and ropes? Or even just some boogie boards for flotation tethered to the wharf at intervals...
Mr Whippy would have a field day
Seems to me someone needs to get a posse of cycle-powered vending carts in the area, novel and convenient, the existing businesses couldn't really complain as they sound like they have their hands full anyway...
<droll pa-troll>
hmmm, I like the sound of that, could be a whole comic in that idea...

no ifs, lotsa butts...
A lot of us enjoy smoking, but let’s not turn a blind eye to the consequences of that habit. Smoking doesn’t just adversely affect the lives of smokers.
indeed, those butts can be piscatorially pesky...

A cynic would speculate that it would be a bad look to have these trials during the RWC.
But, I thought RWC stood for Ruatoria War Crimes...
