how bout we focus on the election tomorrow for the next 36 hours,
Here's a start.Who needs 36 hrs when the first few will indicate if the votes are above board. It's happened before, and here, some would suggest Winston is a dirty rotten scoundrel.

We got one visit (stayed at pub to avoid the endless stream). We don't eat sweets so wasn't sure what the other half was going to offer. He came up with oranges. I offered alcohol, he laughed and so did his mum, at which point i thought perhaps 7 was a bit young to get them started. :)
Posted on wrong thread but now I'm in the right direction (although that's debateable also) -

Why a machine should "fall out of callibration"? That's dodgy or fucked up. It's just maths, which shouldn't change during the day.
Happened across the States in 2004. Just enough votes to switch from Kerry to Bush to not be too noticeable but enough to win. Saw something a while back, think it was called stealing America one vote at a time, which showed how thousands complained that their votes were switching and locking in and,on election day, across the States ,it was being reported "only a few glitches. Some states have gone back to paper because of this, but only a couple afaik.

And it's not the people with lots of money who are going to suffer the most. It never is and it never will be.
Agreed, although the first I hear to complain, but yes
One very likely local scenario is that an incoming National government will plausibly use this disaster as an excuse to cut a lot of benefits. I know they usually do that anyway,
That's my take also. One more con. Actually I should just say .....What Ben said.innit.

So let me get this right, the world is falling apart (for those poor wee souls with lots of money)
and our banks are definitely in a damn sight better shape than other parts of the world.
as I would say also Craig, and I'm glad we had a frugal Finance Minister and umm I don't understand why pigging out on lamingtons is now a good idea? And I don't understand why we should now trust someone who ( completely aware of where finance was heading in the world) played this awful financial game for years to suddenly fix it all now. As was said earlier let's just cut the shit and get real. But me, mere pleb with no idea eh :)

So, small hands an'all, Whaddaya mean Craig?

Umm? May be an Anus on legs to you Craig but a vote for NZF could be an out and out strategic vote for Labour which in an area like mine is being discussed quite a bit.
