Ignoring the characterisation, I note that they met a few days ago.
Thanks , I note from your note that it seemed a very open discussion for anyone to read up on also. :)

fundamentally it's a shared space with all the potential angst that comes from being badly dressed and feeling exposed doing stupid things while other people watch.

the facilities and the equipment are bloody good.
Yes, back in the day, they had a workshop that made their own equipment. Not sure about now but.I even played a role in that for a while with making the ankle and wrist weights, which people took to taking home.I am now wondering, just why were they so popular?

We left the pool when a rain-coat man arrived (sans rain-coat). I was really glad they had good showers. Equals my visit to a seedy strip club. Lots of men in the front row in rain-coats and us,
Soo....., it was raining right?
.....I'll get my jacket...

girl's change room, in which total bitchiness about appearance sounds like the norm.
Unfortunately, there is no need for a changing room for this sort of behaviour. Girls can be bitches and "time of the month" aint the only excuse.Personally, I try not to go there.(and no, I don't head straight to the mens changing room, Mr LLewellyn) :)
