I am so utterly sick of being told a franchise of a multi-national corporation (the IRB) represents us and I owe it my loyalty I would happily burn ten thousand All Black flags.
Michael, can I come to your burning party? I'll bring the marshmallows and weenies.

But ... important haircuts ...
Best use of a haircut as a plot device was when Buffy got hers cut and then was made invisible and her hair was what people cared about more. Well actually, the highlight of that episode was probably IM IN UR CRYPT, HABIN INVISIBLE SLAYA SEX. But still.

Best recall all those cookery books.
When I knew Japanese and my sister didn't, I used to frequently yell "Anata wa chikka tetsu desu!" at her, because it sounded harsh and nasty.
Of course, I was saying "you're a subway", but she didn't need to know that...

I kinda think that living somewhere where you can burn the flag is a symbol of the country even more so than the actual flag.

Joanna, help me! The boys are seducing me with their rugby talk!
It's okay Robyn, head on back to Hubris and I'll talk about boobs some more...

I'm with Robyn on the finding it interesting despite my lack of any interest in sport, especially rugby. But no, this doesn't mean I'm going to start watching it or care if we win or lose, beyond my thoughts on women's refuges...

I can't believe they put Felicity on there. And I'm sure as I go through it I'll find more things to hate on.

If I time it right, it's cooking but not yet ready to be served by sports news time, which is increasingly the only bit worth watching.
Meanwhile, if I'm watching the news live, I get up at 6.30 when the sports comes on to go cook dinner.

I record the news every day, watch the headlines and see if there's anything that interests me, and if there is, I watch that. If I had the same HDDVR as my parents have, I'd watch the news in 1.3x the speed, same with Shortland Street - damn people talking too slowly!
