Ministers might need to give evidence
Can MPs be compelled to repeat statements made in the House under parliamentary privaledge in court?

Actually, seeing there is a skills shortage and full employment, now is the perfect time to introduce such a scheme with as minor an impact on wages as possible.
-
Sorry Keith, Rich of Observationz is right here - to assume a priori that Kiwisaver will drive wages down is the good old fashioned determinism that makes everyone else laught at economists and econometricians.
Yes, If I am on the lookout for a new job and have two offers of about the same money, an employer with a more generous approach to Kiwisaver (or some other super scheme) has a competitive advantage. If my current employer's Kiwisaver offering is poor, there is nothing stopping me looking for another job and using Kiwisaver as one of the determining factors.

I guess I had Australia in mind - where I really think there basically no "lifestyle gap" or depending how much value you place on sunshine, it may actually have an advantage.
I could never live in Australia - too many Kiwis!

With pleasure!!
Wow, John Schwalger? So much for "no bolters"!
-
All right, you're on...
When's the announcement?
-
Cheers Haydn. I'm *far too busy* for the Herald :)
I think you have the right idea. To my mind, the Super 14 is way less of a selection criteria for those players than the next 7 tests will be. Hence the unlikelihood of any bolters into the squad (like Dan Braid for instance)
FWIW, I'm a domiciled Aucklander, not a native.
-
Haydn, I appreciate that you are (apparently) not an Aucklander, but perhaps the Super 14's all-time leading try-scorer & scorer of 42 test tries? :)

The animals gorge on the ripe berries, and excrete partially-digested beans in their feces, which are then harvested for sale.
What on earth possessed people to look at [civet] cat shit and think "a bit of roasting and that'd go great with my [indonesian equivalent of] croissant in the morning? Amazing.
Jon, I can only hope you are right!
Flavell's cause must have been helped by the injury to Eaton. When is McAllister fit?

Guys, why do we fight? Seeing as we are all dirty lefties, we should return , as always, to Orwell:
Undoubtedly when you are at war with a deadly enemy it is better not to begin fighting among yourselves - but it is worth remembering that it takes two to make a quarrel and that people do not begin building barricades unless they have received samething that they regard as a provocation.
And just to keep our feet on the ground (especially for those who don't consider themselves dirty lefties):
So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don't even know that fire is hot.
Orwell is like the bible, a quote for every occaision.
