That combination of jazz/dance was just right for those nights. Surf the jazz at Celebre and hit the dancefloor for a bit if the energy flagged. Nothing like finding something so groovy in the early hours.
I went maybe 10 times, a real treat I had the dosh and the nerve...
Gone but not forgotten.
Thanks Simon et al.

I thought the shit-to-quality ratio was unacceptably high, myself
I think all of us could rate all the films and series on that scale. For me TNG's reliance on the holodeck for so many stories tops the list. But I'ver ead of others who love those fictions within fictions.
Voyager did a bit of that too but I thought were better linking it to the series premise or threats to the ship...

I wonder what they were?
The link to the Morning Report interview with the former staffer doesn't appear to be up yet but she said her contract wasn't renewed, she had to get over and move on from that and that TV3 approached her.

So the southerly cold snap numbs so well no anasthetic required..?

@Russell - I can only think she was using the arguement to tie the route to the law and order line she'd like to run with. A thinking on her feet point in what sounds like a heated meeting and obviously not fully thought through.
365 houses at risk - I only see National knowing it can't win here...

Using urgency frequently to circumvent due process and pass controversial Bills is undemocratic. Discuss.
54 Urgency
(1) A Minister may move, without notice, a motion to accord urgency
to certain business.
(2) A motion for urgency may not be moved until after the completion
of general business.
(3) There is no amendment or debate on the question, but the Minister must, on moving the motion, inform the House with some articularity why the motion is being moved. If some 'some particularity why the motion is being moved' genuinely explained why a bill couldn't be debated in normal session I have much more confidence in the process.

I'm looking forward to seeing Star Trek once the first weeks' crowds decline but with with the number of spoilers I've bumped into think it looks good.
And as probably a team of one I'd like to give some love to Voyager especially before the need to up the ogle with 7of9: Cool ship, effects (i do think the title sequence the best of all series), and a woman captain placed not on a 5 mission with station visits but almost completely isolated from all Federation assistance. Oh and NZ shows up as a prison colony in the pilot looking lush and green.

Beginning (of the end) I meant of course.

Urgency has been moved and Government Notice of Motion No 2 (Establishment of select committee on Auckland governance) debate is beinning now.

Although these may be them.
