+1 for panniers - they're essential for more than 30 minutes or so of riding when carrying a change of clothes + lunch. I made mine out of a pair of $10 school backpacks from the Warehouse.

“How can people drink nutrasweet when it tastes like electrical tape?”
And someone will ask how you know what that tastes like..
Because you needed to repair some wiring, and had to bite the tape into strips because you forgot the scissors. Obviously.

Prior to 1995 we were told that temp increase would accelerate from the rate of increase observed from the 1970s to the early 1990s, which of course is what started the whole shenanigans. And instead we got a lousy 1.2C a century!!
Consider that the entire range temperatures on Earth is only roughly -50°C to 50°C - that's a 1.2% change in only one century, which sounds pretty fucking significant to me.

If that gene is the one that renders the seeds infertile [...] if that gene becomes widespread and dominant then we do have a problem.
My degree is in the wrong science, but on the face of it that scenario sounds... improbable. How could a gene become dominant if it codes for infertility?
