I too like the length of the Public Address blogs but hey, if it's haiku you want, haiku is here...
The Community of Weblogs aspect of Public Address may seem foreign to others as it is one of the points of difference. Even the OED defines a weblog as "typically run by a single person." Of course among the other points of difference is y'all...
What I like about the unthreaded forums is not repeating what other have writ because it's not buried in an adjacent thread.

As it seems clear to me Weatherston thought himself well smart enough to introduce what the jury might conceive as reasonable doubt could his sentence also reflect his contemptuous attitude to the court?

Currently there will be no swapping between the Heartland and Division Una, though that is still up for discussion.
Yes. Please. It almost ties back the sportsmanship Walsh believed he saw: Plucky local team makes good headline and some more Union support in the Heartland who've shown they're keen and putting in the effort.
Super 14: If you take the Highlanders out I'm sure the other SANZAR members would want to put up prospective teams. But anyway, the Highlabders have something others can't quite equally offer: a captive Otago University student crowd to buy product by the gallon.

"Over the Moon": Is that more "I'm leaping cow while the dish ran away with the spoon" or " I'm feel like Michael Collins orbiting while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the surface"?

short-sighted meant of course but that just might a new swear above...

Is this not the very exeplar of short-shighted..?

Kerry, I caertainly understand why the colonists has stoic attitues, and the book (hard to link) explained it far more easily, so here's Wikipedia:
The idea was to be free of suffering through apatheia (Greek: ἀπάθεια) or peace of mind (literally,'without passion'),[24] where peace of mind was understood in the ancient sense — being objective or having "clear judgment" and the maintenance of equanimity in the face of life's highs and lows.
-
I wish I knew why empathy was in such short supply
I was reminded this week that stocism, so much a part of the europaen colonisation story, is an apathetic philosophy so perhaps as one has become the story we might tell ourselves and other has become entrenched in the culture.
