Garth is a bit of a must read around here - well, what with redundancies as daily prophecies of doomw e can do with some cheering - and you gotta love today's effort. There's a certain rocking chair and whittling stick genius in setting the world to rights after an intro containing new brooms and levers of power.

or they were waiting to see if he was going to let loose with his socks?
-
I was wondering more why one of his goons didn't leap over to take the second shoe for him - in the line of duty of course.

a mate of mine just watched it in England and gave Survivor 4 outta 10 for effort.
sounds like more fond memories going down the crapper. bloody buggers.
apparently they've kept the aircraft sound in the closing credits but.
they better keep their hands off Children of the Stones or there'll be trouble.
-
and don't forget Jock Edwards...

then there was Glenn Turner as a one day opener when he came back - he could play a lovely chip over the inner ring. ooo, matron.
but I'm most frustrated by the string of early retirements, guys like Astle and Fleming should still be playing. Poss down to Bracewell, poss down to lack of tests, poss just bored with losing.
even so, best time I've had watching us bat was at Eden Park when Chatfield got Smith thru to his ton. stirring in a comic fashion.
and what's happened to Tuffey? Never seemed to play to his size, but got nice high bounce.

sounds like you're doing the lord's work there...no rush.
-
well I hope they don't stay there for too long.
besides, I'm sure there's something in the treaty about hogging toanga.

Simon,
any other treasures hiding in your cupboard then?

player of the day had to be Kerry Buchanan. the dial went to 11 from his first gob. he's the drummer the Stooges never had.
prop of the night, the german helmet.
tracks of the night, First in Line and Suicide II.
and hotdamn, but the Features are timeless. looking forward to the album.
and and, huge props to Jon Baker for putting it all together. give that man a medal.
