Given my brother will probably be up on stage then I may just attend your little shindig...

I love how they claim that they're actually a support group and they do very liitle advocacy.
Yet go to their website (as the Charities Commission has done) and the pages Articles, Newsletter, Statistics, Policy, Submissions and Press Releases all come before "Victim Support" which is just one link to Parole Board contacts and their own article on drugs are bad!How on earth they are currently getting charitable tax status is beyond me.

Wait, the SST is CURRENTLY a registered charity? Cripes

I'm sorry Mikey, I can't do that.
If he'd just held out for a few more weeks he could have avoided the hell of unpaid DJing to first years...

Basically, internal systems at Auckland City have been compromised.
Dear Mr Haxor,
Could you please remove a few awkward parking tickets under my name while you're mooching around in there?Cheers.

I still can't believe anyone took that claim seriously
With respect George, I don't believe they made that claim - they said "no sales of state assets" in the first term. That bill doesn't do anything like sell a state asset.

This topic also calls for some Bruce Shneier facts,
I don't know who that is (although can guess) but even still those are ace. Kinda like xkcd in text form for me...

So here's a little something that amazed me the other day - if you want to run a merchant account for online payments from overseas (edited to add) in this country, you HAVE to do it with BNZ, you have no choice. Anyone understand different to that?
Because it gives BNZ a pretty damn significant advantage in the "new economy" when anyone doing business online has to bank with them? -
Teh wife and I share a credit card account, but strangely only hers has been replaced so far.
Did a bit of a scan of the account this morning after I saw the story, charges all seem legit. Unfortunately. Although there was an ACCOUNT FEE of $100 - at first I thought that seemed dodge, then considered it's probably just Westpac thieving legitimately from me, rather than Serge the Nasty Belarussian. -
Scrutiny of internet commentary around court activity certainly seems to be at a high right now - wasn't the MoJ or someone specifically looking at Kiwiblog and Trademe for breaching standards around presumed innocence a few months back?
And the Law Commission has just put out a paper on suppression orders in the last couple of weeks.
