I'm re-reading Dance of the Peacocks just now, and this morning read "James Bertram used to say that things always happened to him in December. For Geoffrey Cox. six months into the job in 1956, it would be November. Then I clicked on public address.
Just to say (I suppose I'm a lurker, but I only recently found out how to post) thank you one and all, but especially Russell, for so often being enlighteningly on my wavelength these years.
