Hard News: Crossing the line into idle bigotry, in reply to
By which you mean, on the op-ed page of a major daily newspaper?
Perhaps it is the duty of the journalistic community to marginalize his views with rational rebuttal. Isn't that what you're doing?

But I’d prefer someone was handing out more megaphones.
Go Harvey Norman, Go!

It’s not so much racism as it is neo-crusaderist ‘civilisationism’.
Yeah but it only operates at the margins of society, and that’s where it will stay if we don’t suppress it with censorship. Much better to satirize their folly. Same goes for the rabid Pat Condels and Chris Hitchens of this world imo. (though much harder to satirize, especially the latter)

Giving them a megaphone is not the same as rope.
Hmm, dunno about that. For instance, the ‘Truth’ megaphone Cameron Slater’s currently blurting out of may well be his undoing.

The Times should, in this instance, step up and take out its own rubbish.
I disagree on the basis that I believe Cox falls short of inciting racial hatred, rather that he panders to a large slice of society who thinks and reasons as he does.
Furthermore, I think it is a mistake to try to censor such ravings because the resulting disgruntlement amongst like-minded bigots does more harm to the fabric of society than allowing them to vent their intolerance. Give ’em enough rope I say! -
Nice post. Wish I was there. Love talent:

I just missed my fucking flight.
Crikey, the things you journos get up to... I'm not a member of the mile high club either but really, I don't give a flying fuck.

I contend that Key's diction isn't a speech impediment but simply his Austro-Jewish Kiwi accent. (just as the way in which many of us pronounce 'six' seems to be derived from the Scottish pronunciation of said number)

But a notable proportion of the erowid experience reports on MDVP are strikingly bad.
Couple of thoughts on that wee anecdote:
Firstly it doesn't ring true. Has the smell of the social engineer all over it. (a more subtle approach than claiming angel dust makes one think one can fly admittedly) Quote: Be warned if your crazy enough to play with this and be prepared for the possibility of some rather severe consequences!
Thanks Ned Flanders.
Secondly, if MDVP is really such a poor substitute for cocaine then in a free drugs market no one would use it. Let's face it, chemical hedonists will single mindedly persue their hobby with whatever substance is available until they either burn out or straighten out. May as well let them have the good stuff, knowing what it is and dispensed by professionals who can provide medical assistance and advice.
