this is understandable, and I understand that many such works are reasonably well hidden, or controlled. however not all are.
there is not much more horrific to me than the thought of a work; written by the victim of a sexual criminal to help them deal with reality; being used by someone more like the offender than the victim for sexual gratification.
its tricky stuff.

I am as guilty of such missuse of our glorious language as I am of overuse of the phrase du jour [which around my neck of the urban woods is 'indeed', can you guess which criticaly acclaimed police drama I have been watching?].
I promise to make more effort, however I cannot promise to not twist the language out of shape for my own fun. I find such fun makes the day much betterer.
As happenstance would have it this gives me a chance to utilise todays favourite online discovery; OEDILF : The Omnificent English Dictionary In Limerick Form.

Yeps, it gets betterer.
My Infinitely wise [and patient, and beautiful] other half near had to FORCE me to watch the mini series, which I found inoffensive but boring. She persevered and about three or four episodes in I began to warm to it. Baltars inner struggles and the tension caused by human like Cylons started adding up to quite a story.
season Two transcends season one completely, its like a maze opening up in front of you. and three against the real world backdrop of America versus the terrorists [however you frame it] is gripping.
plus the space battle scenes just get better and better.

re: battlestar best starting point...
ideally the miniseries, prior to season one. there are layers within layers and loops within strange loops that will be clearer upon watching that way. but the last couple of eps of s2 would suffice.....
and yes, it is mos def adult tv.
Doctor Who is more family friendly [even with the jack subtext], although those *#*#*#*#*#*'s sure put the fear into all involved. I'm looking forward to watching again in a few years with my little uns. And with Moffat taking the reins next season i rekon it can only get better.

the Sci-Fi Channel in the States is reportedly going to cut 20 minutes from the super-sized finale of this series of Doctor Who.
If anything I'd rather they'd cancelled this instead of SG1,
SG1 went to the dogs too!, and the first newmovie ark of truth was terrrible, any one seen the latest one, evolution?
and while the networks here and overseas keep making these stupid mistakes [they did do a little better with getting Lost to air a bit quicker...] judging from this interview with Jesse Alexander, the co-producer of both ‘Heroes’ and ‘Lost’ at least some of the producers have ideas....

Ah, it was fantastic, it was like a glossy bitch. It was so bright, it was a metallic wonder. Small boys would rather eat a pair of scissors than go near the glossy bitch. "Don't make me go near it, I'll eat another pair of scissors. I can't look at it, it's doin' me pupils in!" Ah, it was fantastic, it was very warlike, the body was very warlike. But the eyes? They were telling a different story. Hardly warlike: eyes, like the eyes of an old russian lady, who had seen too much. An old russian lady, with her arm caught in a loom, and big sailors would walk past and go "Hello!" and she'd go "No, not hello. My arm - it's in a loom." And they'd go, "Yes, hello!", and she'd go, "No, not hello. It's gone maroon. My arm, it is in a loom." And they'd go "Yes, hello!", and she'd go "No, not hello -", and in the end she'd have to pick up the two-ton loom, and walk them, follow them home, and knock on their front window, and they'd be going "Oh, you're scaring me a little bit now". That's what the eyes were like: dangerous, but beautiful at the same time.

i dont think any are available here yet......but they soon will be i warrant. by the looks of it the tricky thing will be working out whether to call them dimmable or dimmerable.

and yes, that herald article was well weird. I guess they just needed someone anyone to interview to add a bit of dimension to the piece. luckily all my chandeliers are candle driven, so I will be fine.
