I enjoyed the real-life story but felt cheated by the flash sideways. Why was it Jack's arc when Desmond was driving so much of it?
Don't know what I would have had instead, though. Perhaps following through with the alternate timelines somehow converging?

That is seriously awesome.
Perhaps I'm missing something. That's all pretty standard stuff (user agent string, supported plugins). Where's the page which tells me which pr0n sites I've been visiting?

'Treasure Island' was hosted by Nick Tansley
I think that was "Treasure Hunt", and it was based on a UK version of "La Chasse au Trésor" (again, thx Wikipedia)

I'm mystified by the perceived Popstars-Idol relationship. Can comebody please explain how "Popstars" -- a reality show about the trevails of a pop group -- was the earlier form of "Pop Idol" -- a talent show, in which contestants get knocked out on a weekly basis (a format which has been around for some time)?
From what I can tell, the "Popstars" format was sold overseas (see: Hear'say) and was a direct rival to "Pop Idol" in the UK, and a contractual arrangement between the two resulted in no other "Idol" version having the name "Pop" in the title (cite: Wikipedia).
Edit: happy to concede I may be mis-remembering the "Popstars" format.

Last time Eyjafjallajökull erupted it was for on and off for two years (1821 - 1823).

In Australia most people get paid extra for working weekends, you don't see them charging a surcharge
FWIW I was in QLD over Easter and some (most?) restaurants were applying public holiday surcharges (around 10% from memory)

You can get a learners driving license without actually having driven a car -- I used mine when purchasing a house. For various reasons (possibly the same as Jack's) I'm in the process of learning myself after 34 years. Failed the learners test 3 times over 6 years before nailing it. Truly a warning to the world.

Please don't tell me that is a quote from Te Papa.
Mr. Theyounger is quoted extensively in the exhibit.

Nice to see The Press (Fairfax) running ads for TradeMe (Fairfax) masquerading as front page stories...
It's SOP for Fairfax nowadays. The Dompost is particularly bad -- TradeMe spokespeople are great for quotes regardless of field of enquiry.

Anti: You could rent it from the library for free.
I wish to join your library, from where I can hire music for free.
