  • Capture: BDO - Post Hoc,

The Hives frontman had real issues with those balls. He was pretty keen for the crowd view of him not to obstructed (the dude is so rock n roll)

  • Hard News: Crashing the party before it starts,

I see David Cunliffe has an open invite to a state of the nation event happening soon. I also remember dancing to Che Fu at a part conference some year ago.

It seems the electoral commission’s policy on treating is related to
    1. how big is your party
    2. how much fun are you likely to have at this event

It’s not good enough. For many young people going to a concert and hearing the artists speak between songs IS political discourse the commision should stay out of it

  • Speaker: Gender quotas (and helping…,

While it's nice to tie the next election to an election in 1922 (and onwards) I don't think its very relevant. The MMP elections I think are more so and from those I see there can be big changes for both parties between elections.

I expect that the margin between both main parties will close up during the election and I don't think its out of order to predict Labour getting very close to 40 percent The Greens close to 10 and National close to 45

  • Hard News: Everybody's Machiavelli,

Do we have the text of these threatening messages? The only one I have seen is warning Chuang that her political career would be over if she went public. That is exactly what has happened and not by any sinister means. Sounds like a perfectly valid warning to me.

The other thing that puzzles me is that apparently threatening messages were sent Slater, Chuang and their families everyone got text messages...Sounds like someone quite close to everyone might have sent text messages...someone with form...A mario brother maybe?

  • Hard News: No Red Wedding,

you know what they call alternative medicines that work…medicine

And thats the core of the issue for me. in order for my to buy into any kind of treatment it has to be PROVEN to work that means blind tests, peer reviews.. all that shit.

Not it worked for my brothers wifes aunt or it really cleared up MY rash

This return to nature stuff really irks me. You know what it was like 200 years ago in this wonderful natural medicine world?

Peoples teeth were really bad and you had about an even chance of making 30.

I hate big pharma as much as the next guy but not because of the science

/agree the very first line out of slater/Farrar/hooton will be she can't even convince the urban liberals in Auckland central to vote for her so she can't convince the rest of the county ... Bullshit but they won't stop saying it till its true
