National has the option of governing as a minority. It will undoubtably be the largest party in parliament, but I doubt it will get 50% of the vote; a minority government would be an option if ACT doesn't score.

"The choice you have is to vote for the option that is likely to do the least harm - as in not make a bad situation worsen; I can't see that being Labour."
I can't see it being National either......in fact, of the two, in a crunch, I would trust Labour to look after the interests of ordinary citizens, rather than National.
I won't be voting for either of them.

Interesting story:

There appears to be some doubt whether the man is a trader, or if this is a hoax of some kind. Poe's law has been invoked.....

Bernard Hickey is calling for National to be consistent, and extend the approach to pensioners.

Rob - on Pharyngula they call that sort of thing a "poe".....where you can't tell a nutters rant from satire.

Ahhh...coffee nostalgia. 40 or so years ago there was a place called Stewarts, downstairs in the Octagon, who roasted and ground their own coffee. If you walked past, the wonderful smell would waft you down the stairs......

I wonder if there are cables about that......rather than improve your own ranking, depress others'.
