But look, the whole thing's here. http://www.danielgrove.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Baxter-v-Coleman-2016-NZHC-2693.pdf

So much dodgy in TheSpinoff's expose today of the High Court case between Avalanche City's David baxter and Matt Coleman from Let The People Speak. And the full judgement should be a 101 for artists and managers, But this paricrlar paragraph, number 267 was just weird:
"Another payment of $20,000 was received by the defendants from Radio New Zealand and was on-paid to the defendants. The defendants claim this was income and therefore a commission of $4,000 should have been deducted by the defendants, but was not and is therefore owed to them…I accept Mrs Parson’s evidence that this was a “radio plugging” grant, paid out to cover costs.
Excuse me? Surely a mistake. Payola at RNZ? Yeah, right. But, huh?

Tom Hanks, surely. I think he was PM material and a shame they double-tapped him. Plays guitar too, as I recall.

As a committed cyclist, I love the idea of these things but the design of most leaves me cold. This is probably the nicest one I've seen - Kickstarted project - and check out the USD price http://gosondors.com

But...so what? Does it matter what the 'Press Council' rules. To a digital magazine-thing in 2016? Will people be arrested? Will their servers be seized? Isn't this finding completely redundant?

It's all quite absurd really. Black mould in a state house bedroom would be several magnitudes more dangerous to the inhabitants than than microscopic traces of methamphetamine that constitutes "contamination!" and a massive payday for the decontaminators. It's not like anyone's going to be licking it off the ceiling - which they probably could with nicotine...

To be fair, I think NZME has a commercial arrangement with ODT and the 'byline' was not actually that - just a reporter's email for further info. The story was also attributed to the NZ herald.

Much as I enjoy this forum, I am missing RNZ's comments thread. On this and many other issues. I can't imagine they were attracting so many trolls it was impossible to manage. Perhaps just couldn't afford the salary of a part-time moderator.
