Hard News: Let's do some commerce, in reply to
That'd be a hell of a plot twist.

Including one token Wellingtonian.
How dare you!

I find it a bit easier to give money than stuff. Can you set up a givealittle or something? Or does that mess up their other funding?
I hit up the big phone companies for a bit of support. That works sometimes, who knows.

I was going to talk about my first concert (Alice Cooper, 1990, Supertop, age I thought younger until I looked up the date, and must have been 13) but then I watched that Knoxious video and it's all I can think about. It's fucking fantastic and I'm so happy for Chris.

You know what, I really don't want to get a phone call from Marshall if he's just going to repeat the cringe-inducing display of deep denial on Q&A this morning. It would almost be funny [...] if it wasn't so damn serious.
If it was anything like his performance with Campbell, then I don't blame you. Unconvincing at best.
Having him talk to people who can elucidate the problem we see with the police seems far preferably to not having him talk to those people, and instead just hoping it filters up from some junior in a weekly report.
I'm not confident he would listen, but the opportunity going wasted seems a shame.

Update: Police comms say that Marshall has been responding personally to complaints made via the police website (which I’m told requires contact details).
This isn’t (as it was earlier described) “clumsy and inappropriate”, it’s AMAZING. It’s too bad we found out about it this way, because it’s incredible and might be a globally unique degree of access.
I wish it hadn’t initially been presented like a (frankly really obviously bullshit) paranoiac fantasy.

Hannibal might turn out to be a slow burner, or it might deserve those low figures.
Hannibal is extraordinary and beautifully shot, and features some of the most disturbing scenes I've ever seen on TV or in movies.

But there’s also narrative reality (things like The GC) and competition reality (like Survivor) and many many hybrids of those and other sub-groups. All are, essentially, documentary in nature though.
Ok, so just to calibrate. Would you say Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was also a documentary?

I remember the first series of NZ's Got Talent being a big Twitter event, but this time around virtually no one in my timeline is tweeting about it.
Part of that has to be that it's noticeably more terrible this season. The talent is very thin. Which has lead the judges to be, without putting too fine a point on it, ridiculous. Their role is no longer any kind of criticism but a sort of wide-eyed boosterism, trying to convince the audience they're watching something good.

Mega is the internet's #1 source of Seven Sharp torrents. Every episode*. Zero downloads**. (* I'm guessing this first part. ** Confident about this.)
