This was played at the funeral of a friend who took his own life:
I think I’d like that. And for my Dad’s, earlier the same year as my friend, I chose this as my musical input to the day:
For years after before I left Che’s band, I could hardly play this without having a tear. Would like that one too.
Woah, heavy topic for a Monday!

Really enjoy that "Eighties in Harlem" track. And if peeps do like the Raiza and Max track, check out Raiza Biza's solo work, as well as another MC from their area, Jane Deezy. There's some great MCs comin through

Glad you enjoyed the read Chris! Thanks to Russell for giving a damn about us bass players ha ha. Can't believe I forgot to list Scribe's "Crusader" album in the list. Doh!
Thanks again Russell.

Hard News: Killing Volume, in reply to
Which I found to be quite a dis-engaging way to have the mag online. It may be me, perhaps I'm not interface friendly, but it just didn't sell the online version to me. Much better if it had been a proper dedicated site, with some then optionable web-only content etc. Sucks to lose the mg, although I'm sure Sam's talents will keep on shining. Feel honoured to part of the cover shenanigans now this is the last edition!

A great weekend for me! On Friday after radio, then work, I had a couple of beers with the MAINZ students as they celebrated the end of their academic year. Followed that with DJing at the PSC opening for David Dallas. The crowd got well full and an awesome vibe.
Saturday was another gig day, with a four hour set down at the BCC which was, as always, free of stress and most enjoyable.
And Sunday was spent with my book on the Goldrush's in NZ during the 1860's. Spent as little time thinking about the election knowing that this week it would be a a conatant on one's mind.
Aaaaaaand that's about it. -

Having being involved in around 35 winery shows I have a somewhat opposite view of the need for such security.

I had an easier time with security this year than last. Was a bit peeved when they took m'erb last year and it tainted my day until performance time.
This year, the entrance into the stadium was an easier process for me and thus my day was started on a better foot than previously. But some of those security guards seem to bring an extra bit of attitude to an extra big event. Perhaps their own version of stage fright?
I was glad to see that Venue Security were looking after the immortals lounge as having worked with them on the winery tours and through catching up with them at the Powerstation, I have complete faith in them as security providers.
Highlights for me: playing at another BDO (go the HomeBrew crew), seeing Black Milk and especially his drummer Daru Jones. Seeing Grinderman's amazing drummer, catching some of Billy TK Snr.
