'Creative integrity'? Aren't all of these shows based on the people copying other singers? Do they ever have singer songwriters performing their own music? I don't think so and from what I have watched on the tube, the winners are quite average singers, not tone deaf and can carry a tune but have little charisma. They go on to have unspectacular careers and end up as judges on talent shows.

Well at least in spinning these morons as Eco- terrorists the Government are unlikely to be seen to be 'backing down to terrorist threats', so the use of 10 80 for ecological purposes can continue for the time being. Assuming that there is a functioning Department of Conservation to manage the programme.

Reuters distancing American involvement, and suggesting reprisal executions would be counterproductive in strategic objective of taking Mosul but forgetting to mention that if performed would be war crimes.

We spent a week in te tai tokerau in January, it was heaven on earth. We lived on avocados, watermelon and sweet corn. Little brown dog allowed in the campsite, perfect surf.
Swerve left at Kiataia through Coopers beach, Kerikeri, Paihia. Dirty water and cruise ships, flash houses and exotic cars. Signs up saying ,'no dogs, your dog may be impounded and destroyed', culture shock and rapid departure. Why do beautiful parts of NZ attract such unpleasantness ?
Local MP resigns in disgrace, we were not surprised. I know there will be another bastard lined up to take his place. That's democracy, you get what you vote for.

Norman's speech would give an indication of the Green Party's position. Of course this may change if they choose a more 'flexible' blue/green co-leader.

‘if Labour were in government our commitment to the latest US/UK adventure in Iraq would be pretty much identical’
Except Key did not give the decision to the house it was a cabinet, and therefore a minority decision. This may be a political blunder, as instead of calling on the house not to be cowards, he could have called their bluff with a vote. If this adventure gets messy it is going to cost his party dearly. When Clark sent in the troops it was by majority decision.

Don't forget the intelligence aspect of the protection force, as detailed in 'other peoples wars,, this can mean missile and bomb targeting by the SAS. this requires placement of Kiwis in hostile territory, and knowing the outcome of capture these guys will go down fighting. And that picture is just fucking horrible.

Gabor, I find the collection at the farm fascinating and I think the two works you pick are not just the best in NZ but probably world class. The fascination comes from some of the other work which is dire. I can see Gibbs getting his eye in or was it Jamie Ross, or Noël Lane, oh it's starting to sound like a committee..
