It makes one wonder what IPONZ are for if they can't spend 5 minutes googling an applied for trade name that is using a generic term. Anyone with a basic general knowledge might have know that Radler was a style of beer rather than a cool new brand name for Despicable Beer to assault us with.

There was an interesting look back at the 1987 RWC in the SST last week. It was pointed out in the article that the NZ public were quite ambivalent about that tournament as well (there was still a lot of hostility about the 1981, & proposed 1985 SAf tours). However as it wore on people got more enthusiastic and more into it. Hopefully that will be the case this time as well.

This is what you want to be listening to right about now (hat-tip Peter Mclennan):
Oh, and my friend Kerry takes the nicest pics at my house.

How did West Ham go this season?
Finished bottom and relegated.
I know. I just wanted Pete to say it :-)
Which of the stages of grief is delusional amnesia? :)

Not to entirely threadjack, but it's been quite a week for Ryan Giggs and his old red nosed father. First all this superinjunction malarkey, then SAF being caught on mic being an absolute jerk getting a journalist banned from future Manchester Utd press conferences simply for mentioning Giggs' name, and finally a bunch of Catalans putting both of them to the sword in the most public and comprehensive way.
How the world turns eh?

No music clip but an entertaining Friday read from Mad Decent's Diplo in Vanity Fair partying at Carnival in Trinidad:
There were the early fêtes—the soca rave, then an after-party, then some eight or nine a.m. breakfast raves sponsored by more liquor companies, then a drive home for a shower, then the day street parade. Then repeat. Times three. The last time I managed 30 hours, one of my teeth fell out. So say what you want—these are a resilient people.
