I take it you've all seen the video of how hagfish escape potential predators? It's bloody brilliant, but you may choose not to watch it over dinner.

Ok if we’re doing trains, here’s one. The Weka Pass Railway, which runs steam-train excursions twice a month from Waipara. It’s great fun, particularly if you are accompanied by anklebiters. There’s an open car at the back if you can handle the steam and smut. ;-)
