Such an amazing instrument, played by this Chinese lady was one of my favorites of the evening at the Lantern Festival 2013, Christchurch.

By throwing big numbers around and proposing huge projects most little ratepayers hopefully will switch off and let them do as they please. Worked for Len Brown in Auckland. I know exactly what you mean Hebe. There is no great need for any of us to hang around the City Center that stings us for doggone parking fees in this concrete desert.

Nasty nasty wasps. We had one on the property a few years back. An area in the back garden where not much happened on a daily basis a basket was created and should one come within say a meter of the godforsaken wasp nest, soldier wasps would come at me. Anyway i got junior on to it. You have to get up very early in the morning before they start their early shift and douse it with petrol or turpentine. The fumes kill them straight away. None escaped and the place is a peaceful nook of the neighborhood.

Another exhausted competitor during the two day event in North Beach, New Brighton. Lifesavers do an amazing job in saving people from potentially fatal consequences. Flags are there to safeguard them but somehow the message gets ignored and surf lifesavers risk their own lives to save them.
