I'd very much like to see a technical analysis of an aberrant machine at very least establish a technical corruption and minimise arguments of political corruption.
Edit: Especially with the reports of late patching. -

Voting machine not allowing Obama votes now taken offline but my takeaway,
if you're turned away at the polling place for any reason, ask to file a provisional ballot, ask for the name of the person who turned you away, and call 866-MYVOTE1.
I'd wish that message was wider spread.

Very glad this is getting coverage. Barriers tend to be imposed while many aren't concentrating on politics and reporting has typically followed the election and the pattern repeats.

Being expected to do more with less. Cutting spending on IT is a first-reaction move
and that the government is using e-government mechanisms as a counterpoint to the public servants removed for the same goals. The Prime Minister's opinion that many government IT systems are clunky is a generalisation of course and clearly not aimed at those with IT knowledge but hardly recommends their approach.

Hrom what information we have at present Keith and Ira have both treated personal informstion with more respect than the minister in question and the affected government agencies. Stating the obvious I know but the pot/kettle black-calling is either attempted delibertate distraction or politians denying themselves a moment think about the degree of damage their departments have allowed.
