Mt Smart has a ticker message across the big screen at different intervals (breaks in play) instructing people to text to a number the word ASSIST followed by a message if help is required. Never known anyone to use it but it's good to know it's there. Eden Park doesn't do similar?

Legal Beagle: A little known story of…, in reply to
So I really truly don't know that I don't have any Maori ancestry. This may change in the next few months. I can't know if it will.
When I enrolled to vote and filled out my first censuses I would have answered "No" to Maori ancestry and been quite sure of the answer. I knew my lot fairly well, or most of them well enough to know, I thought. In 1996 we found my grandmother's generation had decided it was better not to acknowledge their mother's Maori ancestry. My father's generation mostly knew nothing of it at all until about the last decade or so.
So there would have been a time between a re-enrolment and census filing where I would have had rather different answers to that question.

I often wonder what the impact is of staggered closing times for the polling places? That states are being projected for a candidate in the east while people might still be deciding whether to bother going to vote in the west. I assume it's been studied, what effect that might have on a candidate's chances if the projections begin to show them losing and losing badly?

An ABC commentator remarked how he thought the 2012 election was going to be the last presidential election "between two white men". There followed an awkward exchange a minute or so later as a correspondent they crossed to and then others in the studio tried to nicely point out that one of the current candidates maybe wasn't actually white.

If Tea Party pin up Bachmann -- who also outspent her Democrat opponent twelve to one -- loses her seat, I'm going to break the internet with schadentweets. You've been warned
Politico.com has them at 50.0% each (77.9% reporting)
