Yes, you've got it. The Christmas Bengal. The tree was still being put up and he was climbing its plastic branches. I paid for half of his excellence and he was still the best and loveliest gift. I definitely could be a cat lady though - they are all bewitching.

apologies to Sophie and Jackie in particular for opening that particular gate on your lovely thread... as I am not in NZ and sift the NZ media randomly I wasn't aware it was quite the bruise that it is... sadly the bad dog owners tar the good ones, as ever. And it is obvious from the adoring looks on these dog faces that these are good owners. I think I will disappear over to cats for a bit. -

Dogs will think wide eyes can be aggressive, so staring alarmed humans can give them the wrong message.
Exactly how I feel in reverse. This is one of only two dog photos that I have.

I'm that person who freaks out when dogs bound over and <i>quelle horreur</i> jump up. Apart from two beautiful hounds we had for a while (Scottish wolfhound/old English sheepdog cross and an Irish deerhound - a comedy duo called Wilbur and Dusty) I am a cat person all the way. I think dogs LOOK beautiful but my battered amygdala cannot quite get over being chased, knocked to the ground and bitten by a police dog. Who knew I was a seven year old felon? Beautiful pics though.

We went to the Hunter Valley Steamfest 2012 at Maitland last month expecting to hang with the engines. Got torrential downpours instead. Better luck next year.
