For reasons. It surprised me too.
Thanks Deborah, great post.
We voted earlier this afternoon at Kelburn Primary - where there was a steady stream of voters. Afterwards we had ice cream down at the lagoon -- which should have cemented the occasion in the five-year old's mind. -
Grant Robertson (Labour) in Wellington Central for me, and the Maori party.
I am really surprised and curious that you voted Maori Party Deborah, as what rules them out for me is that many of Tariana Turia's comments over the last few years have brought out the Very Angry Feminist in me! Although I completely agree that our options are limited.

I'm sorta resigned to some form of right-wing government being formed but I comfort myself with the (potentially naive) thought that whomever wins, they will do what they genuinely believe is best for New Zealand.
Sigh

Like MYOB...who seem to think that a windows upgrade path is fine at $200 but a Mac one is $500...
Would this suit your purposes? I am considering it for myself . . .

20 year-old Ashley Todd, reported that she had been viciously assaulted by a "6' 4" black man", who, upon seeing her McCain bumper sticker, became enraged and carved a "B" into her face to teach her a lesson. But said "B" was reversed -- much as it might look as if a person had scratched it into her own face in a mirror.
I don't know where to start with that . . .

BSOD This is Drunken Llama just after he got it done.
Another way in which macs have more style -- a small grey folder with the question mark of death would look much better!

I understand your predicament as moderator Russell -- but I'm beginning to look away -- I mean far away -- when GD jumps on a thread. And he seems to be spreading . . .

I'm guessing you haven't been to one recently.
After posting it did occur to me that the last parade I saw was about twenty-five years ago.
In which case Craig you are entirely right.

You are right about the LOTR premiere of course Craig (and don't worry, I was outraged of Karori then too!) but I think it's a push to call the Santa parade a commercial event (in this sense, of course to my mind the whole xmas shebang is a commercial event), even if it has high profile commercial support.
Hmmm, maybe you're right.
