Since it's Friday: via Throng:
A warning has been handed down to Maori Television after a hunter dropped an uncensored c-bomb on an episode of Hunting Aotearoa. [...] The Broadcasting Standards Authority has ruled that the language breached standards of good taste and decency, especially considering the words were the only ones to be spoken in English among a Te Reo background.
Isn't Hone Maori for c-bomb? Or, tying in with the previous thread, should there be a macron in a c-bomb too?

I see a rather interesting argument that the British Government and the Windsors owes the Catholic Church compensation (and 465 years of interest) for goods and property alienated (or destroyed) during the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
They got compensated in children.

But really, if it's music that you like, then sucks yaboo to what anyone else says about it.
It's why I both like Concert FM and bFM.

Several times now the older boy has come to me and asked what I'm playing
Kids liking the same music as their parents. That's just..... wrong, no?

The TVNZ 7 programmes worth saving could find a home on Stratos, soon to be the only NZ non-state-owned national broadcaster. Bomber Bradbury and David Beatson are already there, I'm sure we could find a space for Russell and Damian and the rest.

Kiwiblog is no longer the NZ blog of note. Steven Gray has now far more daily visitors.

The Botany by-election will be under FPP rules, not MMP, so I don't see why that would affect opinions about MMP.
The Maori Party relies completely on FPP to get into parliament and its representation should be reduced to fit its democratic (i.e. all votes should have the same weighting in seat allocation) share and get rid of the overhang.
The problem with MMP is that it is not proportional enough and that increase in proportionality should be an option in the referendum.
Labour and National should be able to form a coalition government one day - if the Germans can, why not us? -
I refuse to believe there are people who both like The Jam and Leonard Cohen. They must be the result of marketing execs mashing mods, rockers, punks and Cohen-ites into that sausage fest that is Babyboomer culture.

TV3 as the new TV1? Who cares. When are we getting some adult television stations in NZ? I don't always want to have to watch my own channel.

Yes, my first gay sex was between virgins too (he was straight, so had even less of a clue). Highly un-recommended indeed.
