Hard News: Diverse Auckland: are we…, in reply to
I do regard a broader range of faces and voices as a good thing, though, and I’m intrigued by how many people seem to feel the same way.
I do , and I suspect most people reading this will too , but it might be a different story on another blog. I remember a post on Whale Oil about the benefits of a mono cultural society but can't find it now .

Speaker: The changing world of drug policy, in reply to
Pity we couldn't do this with alcohol suppliers, would they pass the same test?
I guess the average beer would , its the quantity consumed that's an issue , the same may be true for some other drugs .

I wonder how close to 80,000 individual fans it was when so many went twice , I was one of them and recognised a couple of others . Both nights were great and sunday was the better set in my mind , tho the crowd seemed more lively on saturday. The East stand especially looked subdued on sunday . I guess those who went only on sunday hoping to hear Born in the USA were disappointed . But it was fantastic to hear the full Born to Run album along with so many other hits . I wouldn't even call myself a big fan - until recently I hadn't bought (or even copied ) an album of his since The River , (and I don't remember much of that except it bored me) , but he rates as one of my favourite live performers .

Is sounds like Norman would be more than prepared to stop the extradition if he got into power
3 News: A Government of the day has to sign off on Kim Dotcom's extradition - should the Government sign off on Dotcom's extradition?
Norman: No. I've always said I don't support the extradition process. I mean, I just don't think it's fair. I mean the fairness isn't there - look at the way they have been acting illegally against him...

Hard News: Crashing the party before it starts, in reply to
the Party Party on monday is cancelled . Confession : read it on WO first ( well it is good for a laugh )

Hard News: The judge is not helping, in reply to
I suspect that even if he were to be somehow persuaded that WO is primarily a news site , Blackie would still say that the protections don't apply in this particular case .

Hard News: The judge is not helping, in reply to
He replies that he’ll do it if they pay him. The PR companies doing the asking are being paid, so why shouldn’t he
I didn't see it as a big deal either , until I quoted RB on Whaleoil , which prompted both a denial and an accusation that I was lying (actual words were something like he doubts RB said that ).

Hard News: The judge is not helping, in reply to
Thanks. I'll take your word for it . (Noone credible is denying it)

Hard News: The judge is not helping, in reply to
He's admitted to taking PR money to run certain lines on his blog, which would seem to undermine his claims to media protections.
I quoted that on Whaleoil , ( pointless I know , I might have better luck quoting Gandhi to Neonazis) . First response from Slater was to say you're wrong if you said that , but he doesn't believe you said it . (My comments have since been deleted )

Maybe he’s more a public relations type?
:) but more biased
