Does anyone know what "Judeo-Christian values" are?
Is that so they can include Old Testament values in their policies - eye-for-an-eye, death penalty etc., rather than just the New testament 'love your neighbour'...?

Does anyone else see the humour in mentioning Paul Holmes and plane crashes in the same thread?!

Is it time to make a complaint to the Press Council about the latest HoS article re its selective quoting, and the breaking of the embargo? Any volunteers?!

hear, hear to 3410's comments - well done to the bloggers.
imho, the tournament would have been a lot better if the same number of games had been played in a shorter time (i.e. 2 per day), and perhaps more importantly if someone had really challenged Australia. I think that it is far to say that the top 4 teams reached the semi's - in a number of sporting world cups that often hasn't been the case.

Nobody Important -
I have often wondered what the point of 'crossing live' to a reporter at Auckland's viaduct has to do with a Wellington story.
Agreed, and I've often wondered why they label the left and right screens with the locations, rather than with the name of the person they're interviewing.
this psuedenum ... It seemed funny at the time
Don't worry, you're unique, just like the rest of us!

Astle? who was he again?
Isn't it amazing how quickly you can forget someone when the team is performing well without him.And Richard - I agree with your first para above re England, but I don't usually think of Parore at the same time as Turner and Crowe. Was he ever really a tall poppy, or just a bit puffed up?

With regards to weight loss, that great Scottish philosopher Billy Connelly once remarked that the easiest way to lose weight was to "eat less and move more". Self evident yes, but not practised by enough of us!

Paul - there aren't enough spectators for a mexican wave!
