RB - there may be some bots that you have trouble stopping
Aha! I knew it... Keith is a bot. That's why his surname jumps to the right when you mouseover his byline on the PA home page. It's a signal, I tell you.... None of the other PA'ers names have that "jump"...it's not natural...
(Runs down the centre of traffic on the motorway yelling "They're here already! You're next! You're next, You're next... " )

I admire and enjoy Top Gear and ALL its presenters. Admittedly there is no way in hell that I would ever be able to afford any of the vehicles that they test, but as a car-fancier, I like the way that they level the playing field when testing all the machinery to give an idea of which car is "best" (whatever that may mean).
Maybe Clarkson doesn't do the creating himself, but if there was a show which pitted "Monster Garage"-like teams against each other to build projects on a common theme, I think he would great as a judge to determine which team built the "best" vehicle.
Actually wasn't Clarkson repsonsible for the concrete-floored-wood-stove-equipped-mercedes-benz-mobile-front-room? That was funny. Didn't he also build a floating (sinking) Toyota Hilux? Who says he doesn't create automotive art?

The net effect of the whole rights management, down-loading, "ripping is stealing" debate on music consumers like me (interested but not obsessed) is that I have stopped buying music altogether. Has the RIAA measured that effect on their drop in sales? I'm not downloading illegal music. I'm not buying original music. I do listen to commercial radio and watch a bit of music on FTA TV.
I'm effectively lost to the music industry as a direct source of revenue. Mainly because of their bleating about how easy it is for me to be a criminal in their eyes.
Maybe I'm the only one in NZ who feels like this but I doubt it.

I met a guy (from Auckland Uni) who's on the spectrum yesterday. He came up to introduce himself at a seminar I spoke at, and sort of barged into the conversation I was having.
As a "sometimes" presenter in the IT industry, I have observed and had this happen to me a few times at after-match Q/A chat sessions. Of course having had no previous awareness of aspie/autie folk I just assumed it was (stereo)typical IT-geek behaviour. Perhaps there is truth in the hypothesis that the IT industry does attract people on the aut/asp spectrum.

People in power have misused it, and now there has to be a change and a better world has to be built, and the only way it’s going to be built—is with extreme methods. And I, for one, will join in with anyone—I don’t care what color you are—as long as you want to change this miserable condition that exists on this earth
Thank you Mr. X, for your valuable insight.
BTW, if you try to usurp our power base, we will label you a terrorist, then hunt you down and kill you.Best regards

Your experience with Wikipedia editors is pretty typical. There are helpful ones ("it might be better if you did it this way...") and there are prescriptive ones ("You must do it this/my way, or else..."). You just happen to have struck one of each. My advice. Don't take the edits/deletes/snarky jibes personally. Just keep promoting your position calmly and rationally and use the procedures put in place for dispute resolution.
I think of Wiki editors as being like the police. The cops spend all day dealing with crims and can easily start assuming the worst of everyone else they meet. Wiki-eidtors spend a lot of time dealing with vandalism and spam and theerfore can easily start to see it even in places where it is not intended.
Eventually, what emerges usually does turn out to be pretty good. However, it may not reflect your personal view of what it should look like.
Like most professional writers you are protective of what you write and expect editors to be collaborators not adversaries. Unfortunately Wikipedia isn't always like that.

The MySpace link for the arrested Ipswich murders suspect is now dead. "This user has cancelled the account or had it removed etc.."
