If NS are meant to allow parents to access unbiased straightforward data that will allow them to assess their child's future or present school's teaching performance, the result is Not Achieved (with Excellence).
I looked up my children's school as a matter of interest to see how the information is presented (not because I support anything about NS). It's an integrated Kindergarten to Year 13 area school, and the result is not only meaningless, it's unintelligible.
Good; I know the high quality of whole-person education the boys are receiving, and these tables will not result in the thundering of 4WDs up the school driveway demanding that their offspring be admitted because none of the important questions are asked.

What if, in 2016, the sacked ECan councillors are voted back in? Will the Govt just boot them out again? And there's little to stop the Local Govt Minister from doing a Greater London Council job on Len Brown.
The paddock will have been designed, sowed, and the fences reinforced by then, so it doesn't matter what breed of sheep are in there at any time. In other words: the regulatory frameworks are what is being done now. They will be as set in place as much as possible so any substantive change will very difficult and a long, long process.

Great works Bronwyn and everyone on here.
My read is that though many of us are not protesting today, we share one overarching idea: We want our city back.

olive leaf extract as an antiviral
Makes me nauseous but beloved thrives on it. Doesn't have the same "shoot it and kill it" effect on the flu as Sambucol/us.

there are plenty of senior political journalists on the same rung of the career ladder as Armstrong who’ve been laid off
Also, unless this has been happening in the couple of days I’ve been in Sydney, I’m not sure who these plenty of people are you’re referring to – please illuminate (I’m being serious here, I have no idea).
I know quite a few who have been expecting a bullet for years; and quite a few more who have been encouraged in various ways to leave. Fact is most New Zealand print outlets cannot pay too many seniors a decent wage and still make a profit. Other media seem to have a better ability to do so. But for print that has been the case for 20 years at least.

Commiserations on the bad news. And bloody bugger to the flu: I have found elderberry extract _ Sambucol or Sambucus _ is magic for reducing or avoiding flu. 10ml four times over a day if taken at the first signs will cut a full-on ten-dayer to two or three days, then take for three or four days after at the same rate, then down to one a day. Bottle costs an eye-watering $35 – and its worked for me at times (like when I had infant twins) when I could not be ill.
Elderberry is a powerful anti-viral. I believe – though have not tried it – that juice from the ripe elderberry, sambucus nigra, has the same effect. I know people who freeze elderberry syrup and take a tablespoon a day, swearing they never get viruses. Herbal medicine uses elderberry tinctures too.I was meaning are you in on a word thread? Russell may help us out if enough people show interest. Russell, are you listening?
The catch up yes. I am working on life “stuff”, lots of it and now start to see light in that tunnel. Will email.
