I wanted to have a competition on my blog for best submission. But if you were to do it Russell it would be waaaaay more useful.
Apart from that I need the rage about other things to fall under a certain level before I even begin to read past the most immediate reports.

I've been pretty unhappy with the coverage by the media.
Media is a bit generic, though, no? I've been happy with the RNZ coverage. And mostly with newspapers coverage as well. Scoop has been useful. I can't comment on TV because I don't watch it, but there are a lot of outlets that from where I'm sitting seem to be doing their job quite well in what are difficult circumstances for journalists and editors too.
(Disclaimer: I mean I don't watch the news on TV. I'm not one of those insufferable anti-TV people.)

Hmmm. How much rage can I sustain over Facebook, Twitter, email *and* PAS at once? Lessee...
You could always focus your rage and turn it into a submission. You have time until December 24th.

Briscoes has regular sales on minions, check your local paper.

That doesn't mean that his actions aren't open to scrutiny - they're just not open to scrutiny by us, because we know jack shit. But if the rescue is unsuccessful I would expect the investigation to extend to what was done in the aftermath of the disaster.

you don't necessarily stick around to see all the photos (gorgeous as they are) as they go through their full cycle.
You may not in fact even be aware that there is more than one photo. Ahem.

Guys: the mine in China had been flooded. There was no buildup of methane to contend with. Let's leave the uninformed spouting about how are rescuers aren't brave enough to the Your Views crowd, eh?

That is just gratuitously condescending.
At least he's not charging for the condescension. Small mercies.
