Er... non sequiteur?

If a prediction says "X will happen if nothing is done", and someone DOES do something, and then X doesn't happen, then we can't draw any conclusions about the validity of the original prediction
Quite, we (at my place of employment) spent years preparing for Y2K, had we done nothing, I doubt the world would have ended, but I do believe we'd have had core software down for some time. Preventative fixes were made.

Off topic, but somehow this reminds me of one of the funniest things I ever heard on the radio (NAtional Radio, but it was a UK show).
Contestants had to sing one song (say, Barry Manilow's Copacabana) to the tune of another (say, the Dam Busters' March).
I nearly wet myself laughing. "Her name was LOLA, she was a SHOWGIRL, da da da dahhhh dah, da da da daahhh"

Maybe. ALthough I think there's something about retouched photos that the subconscious considers "unreal". And the retouching is often very obvious. Might as well drool over a cartoon like Jessica Rabbit. (Nearly unconsciously typed "simpson" there)

Oh my yes, they give the dogs stick in Atanajuat, a movie we've been watching (it's 188 minutes long) over the last few nights.
Fantastic.

WTF? Boneless pork chops? What's the point?
Well, Avocadoes are about $4 each right now, down to maybe $1 in season. Although Haas fruit all year so I wonder about that sometimes.
Pork, milk & salmon look about the same I think, but my, can we sell them more beef? Those prices seem steep.

Hang on, you added me as a Facebook friend automatically because of past correspondence? I'm gutted. I thought you liked me, you really liked me.
Yeah, when it says it's off to interrogate & invite all your contacts, including people you don't know but once emailed, or who once emailed you, you realise the truth about all the invitations you've received to sign up to Facebook, MySpace, Gnomeworld et al.

All this was on Facebook? Have you poked* Key yet? Bitten* him?
* Facebook jargon that I do not understand.

But with the internets, he can has one!
True, I guess in the back of my mind I was thinking "take the channels off existing TV programmers." Is there a more useless profession?

Internationa Observer - I followed that link - did you also see this?
